Our story

They say the way to succeed is to do something you love. For our founder, Laura, her love is baking. Over the years, she has baked all sorts of creative cakes for friends and family. With each cake, she challenged herself with more complex designs but as she baked, she noticed that it was always the same type of flavours.

One day, she decided to bake some birthday cupcakes and experiment with different tastes. She thought about what she liked in a dessert and that was fruit. So she decided to bring more unusual flavours to those cakes with using actual fruit.

With this seed of an idea, she started researching and noticed that chocolate dominated the cupcake market. Yet for her, the combination of delicious, fresh fruit and cake was a much more attractive option. Knowing this, Laura wanted to bring this winning combination to others and with this, LK Cupcakes was born. Today, we bring fresh fruit into every buttercream. We bring our customers cupcakes bursting with fresh and fruity tastes.
